Musician Kapeke, real name Nsubuga Derrick, has taken legal action against a man for allegedly impersonating him and defrauding him of money from his fans and clients.
According to reports, the suspect has been accused of taking money from many other people pretending to be Kapeke.
He went so far as to defraud his victims by accepting bookings and deposits from those who believed they were booking Kapeke to perform at their shows.
The scam is believed to have been ongoing for a long time, with many people coming forward to claim they lost their money to the impersonator. The singer must have been hunting him down with the help of authorities for some time until his arrest last night.
In the video making rounds on social media, Kapeke is seen at the police station sitting beside the culprit, who had been ordered to sit on the floor.

His physical appearance matched Kapeke’s, and to make it more believable, he was dressed in clothes that mimicked the singer’s and had plaited the same big locks of hair as him.
