Dancehall singer Vyper Ranking has opened up on the long break he took without releasing new music, citing personal challenges.
Vyper Ranking, speaking in a TV interview, revealed that last year was not easy for him and that he couldn’t give his full attention and time to music. He decided to take a break to avoid the unnecessary pressure that comes with not being active.
However, he is confident that the music he released in the past is timeless and still in circulation, covering the time he has been on a break. He is now back and has announced that he will release music at his own pace, not going by the fans’ demands.
“Last year was not easy on me, yet music needs full concentration and time, so I decided to take a break. If you apply so much pressure on music, sometimes many things go wrong. Remember, when you expect a lot from something, you may end up being disappointed. I’m a person who believes in myself and remember I’m the only Vyper Ranking in the industry; when you look at the music around, there was something missing, and it is what I have come to add on to,” Vyper Ranking said.
He further revealed to his fans that they can expect a different, special version of him post his comeback, revealing that he will be trying out other styles of music, not just the hardcore dancehall he has been giving them.

“You should expect to see a special Vyper Ranking, the dancehall version of me will not go away, but I will be doing some other styles from the usual. The break was healthy, and I have set myself properly to know what I want to do; I asked some people for advice, and we are good to go now,” Vyper said.
