Jowy Landa Opens Up About Abuse and Manipulation by Ex-Manager Francis

Date:

Singer Jowy Landa has opened up about her former manager, Francis, who physically assaulted her for turning down his advances.

Jowy Landa started working with Francis at a tender age of 19 years during lockdown, but he allegedly wanted to mix business with pleasure and tried forcing her into marrying him.

She, however, turned him down, and because he couldn’t take the rejection, he slapped her on several occasions, describing him as the worst manager ever, and she was glad to have escaped his abuse.

“Personally, I’m a very stubborn person, but very innocent, and on his side, I think he wanted to marry me. He wanted me to be at his home at just 19. I suffered so much, and I had nowhere to go. I dodged him every time he suggested marrying me, and when I said no, he would hit me. I do not want to talk about it, but it was terrible,” she said.

Speaking about her escape, Jowy Landa revealed that together with her friend, they found a way of luring Francis into selling her into another management, and because he loved money, he fell for it.

She confessed that Francis had brainwashed her into thinking that she and her family were cursed. He made her believe that they needed millions of money to undo the curse, and because she was young and broke, she couldn’t raise the money. So, she chose to stay.
