Jamie Culture Claims Irene Namatovu Never Appreciated Him for Writing Her Hit Song Kuzaala Kujagana

Date:

Celebrated songwriter and musician Jamie Culture has expressed his disappointment towards Geoffrey Lutaaya and his wife Irene Namatovu for being unappreciative.

Jamie Culture is gearing up for his concert, and during his press conference, he opened up on where his frustration stems from. He revealed that while he was still at Baba FM, he got a call from Geoffrey Lutaaya, requesting him to write for him a couple of traditional songs that well represented the Buganda Kingdom.

Jamie, with the help of his friend, JJ, went to the studio very late in the night, and they worked on two songs, one of them being “Kuzaala Kujagana.” The song went viral and not only saw Irene Namatovu making millions out of it, but also cemented her position in the Ugandan music industry.

Jamie Culture revealed that despite reaping big, she has never appreciated the two gentlemen who worked on the song.

“She has never appreciated us. She has never taken the time to appreciate us. It is not a journey, but you have to keep in mind that it was all done by someone. For you to get there, it was all stamped by God. If you do not appreciate it, that means you are undermining fate or someone who helped you get there. It is not a must that you must give them, but it was all in plan to have that person shine on you like a star,” Jamie said.
