Singer Joshua Baraka has addressed the ongoing rumors regarding the future of his music career after parting ways with his management.
Joshua has been trending on social media ever since the fans learnt that he had ended his working relationship with his longtime management, comprising Ssese Nation and Lobstar. They had been working together for five years, and the singer reportedly didn’t renew their contract.
It was all a rumor until Joshua Baraka publicly confirmed the news while addressing members of the press at his charity event. This sparked a huge debate, splitting the fanbase into two camps: some supported the artist’s move, while others thought it was a bad idea to walk away from his team.
One X user revealed that Joshua Baraka had dropped his parent Ugandan label and signed under a Nigerian label, which she alleged would be the downfall of his career.
Joshua Baraka, however, quickly debunked the rumor, deeming it misinformation. He revealed he is currently working as an independent artist and building a team around him. Whereas he appreciated Lobstar and Ssese Nation, the singer revealed it was time to step out and grow on his own as a brand.

“This is misinformation. I’m not signed to any new management. I’m fully independent now and just building a team around me as I’m trying to do my own thing. I have been with my brothers for five years. it only makes sense that I try to step out and grow,” Joshua said.
