Jose Chameleone, Steps In to Restore Late Football Legend Majid Musisi’s House

Date:

Legendary singer and Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone, together with his brother, Pallaso, have embarked on the journey to renovate the late Majid Musisi’s house.

Majid, one of Uganda’s greatest footballers, died on 13 December 2005 after a long illness at his mother’s home in Bwaise, where he had been staying after his condition got worse.

Years later, following his death, there was a huge fight between the deceased’s children, with one of them looking to sell his Muyenga home. One of Maijid’s friends, Abdul Kimere, called upon musicians who were his close friends to come out and help fight for his legacy, and Chameleone is one of those who has taken it upon himself to do so.

In the video shared by Pallaso, Chameleone, with one of Majid’s daughters, Farida, and his grandchild, revealed that he had started an initiative with Nelson Paints to give the deceased sports icon a new look.

“I’m so happy to be part of this as a Mayanja, and I thank my legendary brother for initiating this initiative, and also the family, Farida Majidu, and the whole family for welcoming us. The journey has started,” Pallaso said.

Chameleone went ahead and gifted one of Majidu’s grandchildren an iPhone.

Jose Chameleone coming out to help the family doesn’t come as a surprise, considering how much he adored the football legend. In one of his songs dubbed ‘Basiima Ogenze’, he mentioned him as his friend and a great footballer who was not appreciated enough.
