Last week, Iryn Namubiru posted a cryptic post, seemingly a prayer, calling out parents who exploit, manipulate, and brainwash innocent children for their own selfish gains.
Social media was quick to draw conclusions, claiming it was an attack on Chosen Becky, who was trending for bringing her children to her wedding day to taunt their father.
During a YouTube interview, Namubiru emphasized that she made the post relating to her life and her recently released book. She maintained she didn’t know about Chosen Becky’s actions and just posted because she had always shared her views on parenthood. She revealed that it was just a coincidence because she was not aware of what was happening.
I’m really sorry to anyone who took it the wrong way and misunderstood me. I like Becky and maybe her role model. I was very happy for her because I even congratulated her on her wedding. She is expressing her life differently, and I hadn’t even gotten to the point of looking at her or judging her actions. The post was totally about me and my book. I didn’t, and I won’t delete it.
As a good friend and role model, Namubiru revealed that if she had wanted to advise Becky, she wouldn’t have done it publicly to humiliate her. As she had done in the past, she said she would have reached out to her in private and had the serious talk if needed.

If I had anything to say to Becky, she is a very young mother, and I’m in a position to tell her without putting it out in public and not in a cryptic way as I have done before. We have ever had that moment; we have talked about something in private without coming out in public. If I wanted her to understand and it was important, it wouldn’t have been cryptic and also on my page. I would have told her privately.
Iryn Namubiru insisted that she would not delete the post because it had nothing to do with Chosen Becky’s marriage.
