Rapper Kapeke, real name Derrick Nsubuga, has issued a stern warning against any artists who side with social media trolls to stay away from him lest he embarrass them publicly.
Kapeke was the topic of discussion on social media recently after his impersonator was arrested for allegedly defrauding his victims by accepting bookings and deposits from those who believed they were booking the singer.
Following his arrest, he was detained briefly and had the locks he had copied from Kapeke cut off. The decision was met with widespread criticism on social media, with some condemning the act of having the culprit’s hair shaved off.
Many suggested that he would have trained the culprit and had him join his team, giving examples of David Lutalo, who let Junior Lutalo use his image to promote his music career
Kapeke, during his live TikTok broadcast, revealed that he had noticed some people he thought were in his circle siding with the trolls who called him selfish and stingy. Now that he knew where their allegiance was, he warned them not to familiarize themselves with him again, lest they would publicly be embarrassed.
“I saw and took note of some people who were attacking me, but if you are among them and you know I occasionally find you out there, I’m begging you to stay away from me. Those who spread their hate speech on me, calling me stingy and all sorts of names, please be careful because I know you were trying to show the world that I’m a terrible person,” Kapeke said.

Kapeke explained that he had no problem with the impersonator stepping on stage to perform his songs, but he was only protecting his brand because he consistently made money and never performed at certain venues. He also denied responsibility for his arrest, claiming he was apprehended by promoters who had been scammed.
“I do not have a problem with him going on stage to sing, but the issue I have is that these bars put up posters with my pictures, and the person who shows up is him. I’m already blessed, and I don’t have a reason to hate him. It is not that we took him to the police to get money out of him; he knows why those people had him arrested,” Kepeke said while showing off bundles of money.
