Producer BassBoi Opens Up on Challenges Working with Artists in Studio

Date:

Celebrated audio producer BassBoi has opened up on the challenges he has faced while working with some Ugandan artists.

BassBoi, real name Mulonde Michael, has, over time, blessed the industry with his creations, which have not only topped charts but also gotten everyone dancing. Having met most of them, he was tasked to name the artist with whom he had a difficult time working in his career.

Speaking to Sanyuka TV viewers, BassBoi name-dropped Pretty Banks, describing her as hard-headed. Despite being close friends, BassBoi revealed that Pretty Banks always challenges him during her studio time because she keeps insisting on the producer to do what she wants without changing it.

“Pretty Banks is my friend, but she gives me the hardest time because she is hard-headed. She has what she wants and keeps insisting on that. But she stays my friend even when she keeps disturbing me all the time,” he said.

BassBoi also addressed the allegations that male producers always ask for sexual favors from female artists that they work with in exchange for studio sessions. He distanced himself from the claims, saying that he takes his job seriously and never loses focus.

“I do not know about that because I have never asked anyone for sexual favors. You have to focus because this is a job. You concentrate on what you have to do, but if you waste your time on women, then you are ready for your downfall,” he said.
