Omega 256 Breaks Down as She Recounts Running Away From Strict Parents to Chase Music Dream

Date:

Musician Omega 256 has opened up about how she ran away from home with her strict parents to pursue her music career.

In her candid revelation, Omega shared that she discovered her singing talent at just 16 years old during her form four vacation. She was officially introduced to the industry by one of her male singing friends.

Her musical abilities saw producers love her, and many expressed their interest in managing her music career.

I never had money, but God helped me because the producer took an interest in me and wanted to manage my talent. He was there and then volunteered to be my manager.

Amid her growing career, she continued lying to her father, but her lies were exposed one morning when she went to her father’s shop very late, as opposed to the early morning hours she was supposed to be there.

Just like any other parent, her father’s reaction was not good because it was still early. He claimed she was still young and he never expected her to be doing music at such a tender age.

Omega also recalled that shortly after his dad had found out, she left home very early in the morning to go to the studio to polish her very first song, ‘Otabula’. She got lost in the moment and ended up reporting to the shop very late.

Her father became furious and ordered her to abandon her newfound passion and follow him to the city. But just because she had tasted the music industry and got people who encouraged her, claiming she would make it, Omega knew she had made the right choice.

“My father was a very tough man, but because I had a song already, people who had said would help me pursue my passion, I went to the studio to have a chat with the producer, who asked me what I wanted, and I just sat there very stressed. That was the last time I went back home. I didn’t go back and officially kicked off my music career,” Omega said as she broke down on national TV.

She, however, doesn’t regret her decision because she feels it was the right time to follow her path. She only had a breakdown because of the struggles she went through as a young girl who was just pushed into the world after leaving her father’s home and figuring life out.

“But my father is a free guy now, what happened happened, we are here right now. I’m what I am because I made that decision at that time,” she said.
