National Peasants Party (NPP) unveils Victory School MD Kasibante as Presidential flag bearer – Xclusive UG.

The National Peasants Party (NPP) has today unveiled Robert Kasibante, the proprietor of Victory School of Beauty and Hospitality Management based in Natete Kampala, as the party’s presidential flag bearer for the 2026 presidential elections.

The unveiling took place at the party head offices in Kasubi-Nabulagala.

The party is led by musician Stecia Mayanja as the president.

While unveiling Mr. Kasibante, Ms Mayanja said the former (Kasibante) was undoubtedly fit for the position considering the fact that he has grown from nothing to where he is.

Kasibante stated that the party is prepared to face any challenges including arrests and intimidation, as they take on the mission of fighting for the rights and welfare of the common person.

He also revealed that once elected in power, he and his government would focus on uplifting the common person with providion of key services like free or avoidable medical and healthcare fees.

He also said he would focus on reconciliation considering the volatile nature of Ugandans from different political divides.

“Uganda for all. A call to all opposition parties to join NPP (National Peasant’s Party). We all in to work together for the betterment of our country,” Kasibante said.

He called on dissenting voices in opposition parties who were denied flags for various leadership positions to join NPP.

He strongly affirmed that NPP has capacity to support candidates on various levels of leadership. He also hinted on a master plan for Kampala that includes major focus on improving the road network.

He concluded with a call on Ugandans to support NPP and its candidates across the country in the upcoming elections.

The unveiling was attended by various party delegates including the party president emeritus and other party leaders.

Presidential elections will be held in January next year.

Founded in 2004 by Hajj Elias Wamala Miyagi and a group of rural development activists, the NPP has spent most of its existence in political dormancy until recently.

Revived and rebranded, the party says it’s ready to field candidates at every level from village councils to the presidency in a bold move to directly challenge the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and President Yoweri Museveni’s nearly 40-year grip on power.
