Madoxx Ssemanda explains why he left Sweden

Veteran reggae musician Madoxx Semanda Sematimba has addressed rumours suggesting that he was deported from Sweden.

In 1991, Madox Sematimba moved to Sweden, where he started a family and had children with his wife, whose identity remains private.

It is in Sweden that Madox built his music career, releasing chart-topping hits that resonate with music lovers to this day.

However, he exited the country, returning to Uganda, generating speculations that he had bitterly fallen out with his wife and was deported.

While in an interview with social media blogger Peng Peng, Madoxx addressed the matter, deeming the rumours as baseless and untrue.

Maddoxx stressed that after attaining his personal goals, he grew tired of life in Sweden and made the decision to return to Uganda.

He added that he had solidified his musical position and considered contributing to the growth of the Ugandan music industry.

Madoxx further stressed that, given the differing systems between the two countries, he found it challenging to adjust to life back in Uganda; however, fortunately, over the years, he managed to blend in.
