Gospel artist Levixone has narrated a tragic experience that saw him nearly lose his life over false theft allegations in the ghetto.
During his appearance in an interview with Mr. Henrie, Levixone narrated that the incident happened during one of the New Year’s Eve years back. For the celebrations, he went out with a group of friends to watch fireworks.
“I had a friend of mine called Goddy. He was at his home sleeping when we picked him up to watch fireworks on New Year’s Eve. We were scared of reaching where the fireworks happened, but always watched them from afar,” he revealed.
While there, they met up with a group of other people who were very excited for the celebrations and joined them.
Midway through, a man came from nowhere, grabbing Goddy’s hand while shouting that he had stolen his money. People were so quick to gather around and started beating and hitting Goddy with bricks on his head.
Levixone tried to intervene to save his friend, but his pleas fell on deaf ears, and they continued lynching him.
“They beat him so badly, and he was a young man. They put him in a circle and continued beating him up,” he said.
Out of the blue, a lady from the crowd pointed at Levixone, claiming he was among those who orchestrated the robbery plot.
After disappearing from the crowd, he turned back, and because of the love he had for his friend, he wanted to find out how he was. Unfortunately, he had passed on, much to Levixone’s trauma.

“They were trying to take him to the hospital for medical aid, but he had passed away. I got so scared and started hiding because I thought they would look for me and kill me too,” he said.
Out of fear, Levixone started hiding during the day and only appeared at night. This forced him to move into Nabisasiro suburb and live in a trench.
