Kin Bella Exposes Producer Who Asked for Sexual Favours in Exchange for Music Production

Date:

Musician Kin Bella has opened up about her experience working with a male producer who asked her for sexual favors as payment for working together.

During her media interview, Kin Bella was asked whether she had ever been harassed by male industry stakeholders at the start of her career. She explained that she did her best to always stay away from them and only appear when needed, so they didn’t have the chance to disturb her.

“The good thing is, they cannot force themselves on me. They never disturb me that much because I only appear when it is business. You shouldn’t be in their faces all the time so they don’t disturb you,” she said.

However, Kin Bella recalled an experience she had with a popular male producer whose identity she preferred to keep unmentioned.

She revealed that the producer had previously invited her to work with him on many occasions, but his rate card was too high for her. She kept postponing, telling him that she would first raise his fee before they worked together.

Kin Bella says upon interaction, she realized that the producer was stepping outside their agreement and instead asking for sexual favors from her.

“He told me to just go. At first, he said we would negotiate about the fee, and when I asked for the range, it was still high for me. When he saw I was no longer responding to his messages, he told me he had a very nice beat he wanted me to work on. That is when I experienced what these other female artists were talking about,” she said.

Kin Bella stressed that she wouldn’t expose him because he later realized his mistake and apologized for the harassment.
