Karuma Bridge Re-Opened To Motorists

Date:

The government of Uganda has finally reopened Karuma bridge to motorists after 3 months of renovation. The bridge was opened today on 20th December.

Thee minister for Works and Transport General Katumba Wamala officiated the event and said that they are only allowing light vehicles and buses to use the bridge in the mean time.

Katumba says that other cargo vehicles and trucks can still use other alternative routes to access Northern Uganda, as the ministry is figuring out the possible option for them to also use the bridge.
