Gulu Youth Pledge Support for NRM and Museveni, Citing Poverty Alleviation Efforts

Date:

A group of over 500 patriotic youths in Gulu City have declared their readiness to rally support for the NRM and President Museveni in the upcoming elections, citing his commitment to eradicating poverty among the population.

During a meeting convened yesterday by the NRM Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, in Gulu City, the spirited group expressed unwavering allegiance to President Museveni for his transformative initiatives like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga, aimed at enhancing household incomes.

“We are determined to champion the NRM’s vision of socio-economic progress through the ‘Musevenomics’ model a leadership strategy that combines foresight, regional integration, peaceful coexistence, political stability, and practical development,” they affirmed.

Secretary General Todwong encouraged the youth to lead by example, noting that many in their communities look up to them.

“A true cadre promotes love, order, unity, and diligence in contributing to national development without resorting to blame,” Todwong remarked, applauding the group’s involvement in economic empowerment through their SACCO.

He also urged the youth to demand integrity in leadership by standing against corruption and the misuse of public funds.

“Eliminating the mismanagement of national resources requires collective action. Expose corrupt individuals, and the government will take decisive measures. We must not allow key programs like the PDM to be sabotaged by self-serving officials,” he emphasized.

Todwong reaffirmed the party’s commitment to support their aspirations. “The NRM Secretariat remains available and dedicated to walking with you on the path to prosperity,” he concluded.
