Blackman musician Geosteady has opened up about his controversial new song, refuting claims that he was targeting his ex-wife and baby mama, Prima Kadarshi.
Geosteady released “Okunonya” last week, a song that sparked social media chatter for lines that seemed to target Prima Kadarshi.
During a media interview, however, Geosteady denied attacking Prima or gloating over her because of his new marriage. He revealed that he recorded the song way back in 2024 but didn’t have time to release it until now. He emphasized that the song didn’t relate to him or his personal life right now, but helped him get answers to the many questions he had about his love life.
“There is nothing that relates to me right now; I just found myself getting answers to many questions in my life. The song is not about anyone because I’m not the kind of person who sings about my situation; I just sing my own things.
He revealed that the song was originally written by Vincent Ssegawa, and he never added anything that related to his emotions in the song.

“All that is just a song. I just redid the song, so there is no reconstruction from me or anything expressing my emotions because the song was already written,” he said.
Regarding Vincent Ssegawa’s brother’s claims of plagiarism, Geosteady denied the allegations, asserting that he had asked the song’s owner for permission, who gave him the go-ahead to redo it.
