Ugandan rapper Feffe Bussi has sparked social media debates after releasing a list of artists he thought lacked talent.
Feffe Bussi, during his YouTube interview, spoke about musicians who have made it in the industry without talent. The self-styled Smallest Rapper gave examples to fit the conversation and, without holding back, mentioned Eddy Kenzo, Big Eye Starboss, and his nemesis, Gravity Omutujju, emphasizing that they were hard workers rather than talented artists.
“I have seen many people who have made it out but do not have talent. Gravity doesn’t have talent, but he is so hardworking. I’m not even joking about it, but he is so hardworking. The same goes for Eddy Kenzo, Big Eye,” Feffe Bussi said.
Feffe Bussi revealed that, over the years in the industry, he had never seen talented stars being celebrated. He mentioned that when Navio was interviewed years back, he confessed that talent contributed only 30% to someone’s success in the industry, with the rest going to hard work.
“I reached a point in my career when I was fed up with this industry. Just look around: those with talent are not celebrated enough because it is not about talent. I was lucky enough that, back then, before I became a star, I watched Navio’s interview on a certain TV. They asked him what percentage of one’s career was due to talent, and he said just 30%. He didn’t lie,” he said.

According to Feffe Bussi, another factor that helped these artists survive this long in the industry, despite being average, was their burning passion for music. He explained that Gravity Omutujju reached the top because he was passionate about what he was doing.
“Another thing, those who do not have talent have done better than those who have it; they have passion. Wabuyo came with a lot of passion because he knew his weaknesses and just had the passion. That is what has helped many to survive. Know your weakness,” Feffe said.
