Media personality and deejay Nimrod has opened up about government funding for the deejays’ association, saying he will not give it to those who are criticizing him.
Eddy Kenzo announced that every association under the UNMF would receive 110 million shillings in government funding, and Deejay Nimrod, being the president and founder of the United Deejays Association of Uganda, received and signed for the money.
The money follows a group of deejays, led by DJ Danny Yoo, who called Nimrod out, accusing him of abandoning his position as their association’s Spokesperson.
They described Nimrod as selfish and greedy, mentioning that he stole the money the government had given them during the COVID lockdown and sold their relief food.
DJ Nimrod, while speaking in a TV interview, rubbished the claims, acknowledging that the money would be deposited into his personal account. He bragged about bagging the 110 million, revealing that he would give his mother 1 million as a thank-you for giving birth to him; the rest of the money would be equally distributed among the deejays under his association.
Nimrod also addressed fellow DJs’ complaints, accusing Eddy Kenzo of being unfair and giving him the money. He emphasized that he is not only Kenzo’s friend but also registered under the federation.

“They can call me names, but I don’t care. I got 110 million. We had a deejay meeting, and I summoned them in writing to come, and those who never turned up are not part of us. Those who want to register under us are welcome,” Nimrod said.
He advised critics to form their own association and register it under the federation if they wanted to benefit from the money.
