Job Richard Matua, the assistant RCC for Arua City, is a vocal supporter of President Museveni and the NRM. For all his shouting, Matua earns Shs 817, 216 per month.
This is according to the ministerial policy statement for the Office of the Presidency, which was debated this week in Parliament.
Contrast this with Catherine Kusasira, musician turned special presidential assistant. Kusasira earns Shs 6 million every month.
In fact, Kusasira is paid almost three times more than Getrude Njuba, a senior presidential advisor on land matters, who earns Shs 2.38 million. Njuba is a veteran of the bush war.
Kusasira also earns more than Tony Owana, a veteran journalist now turned presidential advisor, who is paid Shs 2.3 million.
