Alliance Française, Talent Africa to Host Bridges & Beats Concert in Kampala for Francophonie Month

The Alliance Française in Uganda is thrilled to announce the upcoming concert Bridges & Beats, taking place on March 28, 2026, at Kingdom Kampala. This event is part of the global celebration of Francophonie Month, which honors the French language and the rich diversity of Francophone cultures, culminating in International Francophonie Day on March 20.

Francophonie Month is a vibrant celebration that emphasizes shared values such as peace, democracy, and human rights, engaging over 300 million French speakers worldwide. The theme for this year, “Activating your Francophonie,” encourages everyone to explore and engage with French culture in their unique ways.

The Bridges & Beats concert, organized by Talent Africa Group in collaboration with Alliance Française, will feature a blend of Afro-soul, acoustic fusion, folk, and experimental sounds, showcasing the musical heritage of the Francophone world alongside Uganda’s dynamic music scene. Attendees can expect an unforgettable cultural experience with performances from both local and international artists.

The concert will highlight local talent, featuring renowned Ugandan musicians collaborating with Francophone artists to create a unique musical atmosphere. The event will also feature traditional Ugandan dance, music, and local craft and cuisine exhibitions, immersing attendees in the richness of Ugandan culture. Presentations will utilize both French and local languages, celebrating linguistic diversity through poetry and storytelling.

Community involvement is a key aspect of this celebration, with local schools and universities participating through performances and workshops. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a culinary experience with food stalls offering Ugandan dishes and cooking demonstrations, as well as art displays showcasing works by Ugandan artists.

Tickets are available for purchase at Tag ticketing Bronze tickets will be priced at 30,000 UGX at the gate, with an early bird option at 50,000 UGX. Silver VIP seats will cost 60,000 UGX at the gate, with early bird tickets available for 50,000 UGX.

The concert will feature a lineup of talented artists, including Ssewa Ssewa, Professor Joewi, Sandar Nansambu, Elijah Kitaka, DJ Valet, DJ Rocky, Aliddeki Brian, Blackqueen, Tracy Melon, Sheillah Salta, the Impudu Cultural Group from Rwanda, and Royal Drums.
