Ziza Bafana shuts down hopes for ‘Sitani Wenenye’ music video with Jose Chameleone

Date:

Musician Ziza Bafana has opened up on his collaboration with Jose Chamelenone, stating that he has no plans of shooting the video.

Last year, Ziza Bafana and Jose Chameleone surprised their fans with a new song, ‘Sitani Wenenye’, in audio. Just as they were excited about getting the visuals, the dancehall artist, during his media interview, disclosed that it would not be happening.

Giving his reasons, Ziza Bafana explained that they had made plans with Chameleone to go to the studio sometime back, and Chameleone recorded his verse to the song.

Their studio session, however, ended before he could fix his parts in the song, and they left it at that. To his surprise, Chameleone started performing his verse of the song on different shows and performances as a freestyle despite the song still being in the studio.

Chameleone remixed it and redid the verse in different forms. That is how he freestyles. Every time he went to the bar, he kept on giving it as a freestyle in so many songs, and it lost meaning at some point.

It seemed he didn’t want us to release the song because I hadn’t yet recorded my verse at that time. I came back later to patch in some verses, and we released the audio, he said.

When asked if they had any plans of shooting the video, Ziza Bafana insinuated that he had moved on but was glad that their fans at least got the audio.
