Dancehall singer Ziza Bafana has expressed his disappointment with Ugandans who have criticized them for how they acted after meeting Jamaican icon, Spice Official.
Ziza Bafana, who shared a clip on his social media handles, revealed that he had read critics’ comments suggesting that their favorite artists would have done better if they were the ones in their position.
He mentioned artists like A Pass, who has had a chance to do a collaboration with Konshens, Beenine Gunter with Dexta Daps, amongst others. Just like they had their time, Ziza Bafana believed that this was also his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shine.
“Ugandans will never let you be. I see people on social media speaking a lot and wishing that their artists were the ones in our shoes because they think they deserve it more than us. I want you all to know that they have also had their chances. Everyone needs a chance in life to enjoy, please let people live. Don’t make it look like we don’t deserve that opportunity. You are our fans, and we love you, but these artists that you are mentioning, saying you want them to take up our opportunities, have all been there before. Stop attacking us and allow everyone to shine; we are from the ghettos, and if we get there, leave us alone,” Ziza Bafana lamented.
Bafana‘s submission follows Spice’s landing in Uganda three days ago ahead of her 2026 Kampala concert, receiving a massive reception from the local media and artists, including Buchaman, Fik Gaza, and Ziza Bafana, among others.

During this time, the artists were given a chance to do their freestyles, sparking huge controversy on social media. A section of netizens came out to criticise the artists, saying they embarrassed Ugandans because of their half-baked content.
