Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has spoken out on Diamond Platnumz’s recent interview about not being the father to some of the children in his care.
Last week, Diamond Platnumz dominated new headlines following his interview, where he confessed that he was taking care of kids who were not his. The Tanzanian Bongo Flava star revealed that he had carried out DNA tests on all his children and discovered that he was not the biological father to some of them. He, however, continues to look after all six children in his life regardless of the result.
In a YouTube interview, Zari rubbished the allegations, emphasizing that Tiffah and Nillan were Tanzanian and Diamond was their biological father. She revealed that her children were being targeted because they are his firstborn, and the media knows that discussing them would drive traffic to their blogs.
“He wasn’t speaking about my children. He has other kids, but they point at mine because they have all the attention. If they speak about others, they won’t get the needed traffic. But my children belong to Diamond. I would have taken them to their real father if it weren’t the case,” she said.
Comments were picking out Prince Nilan, claiming he was the child in question. Zari, who was not happy with the reactions, emphasized that she would have taken him to the real father if Diamond wasn’t the one. She described him as having the exact facial features of his father, making it his son without a doubt.
She confessed that despite their separation, Diamond has never tested her children’s DNA because he is sure of their paternity. Zari also defended herself, noting that if she had any doubts, she wouldn’t let her children go to Tanzania alone lest they take their DNA for proof.

“If I had doubts, I wouldn’t put them on a plane to go out of fear of the test being taken without me. But I freely let them go. I left Ssemwanga when I was completely over him. I never went back when I started having children with Diamond. Same with Diamond. If I leave, I leave for good; there is no going back to that chapter. Ssemwanga is not Tiffah or Nillan’s father,” she said.
Zari also opened up about one of the children, whose DNA Diamond has constantly questioned. Despite not mentioning the name, it was clear she was referring to Hamisa Mobetto, going by their numerous public fights regarding the same issue.
A couple of years back, Hamisa and Diamond were allegedly in court after he denied fathering her child. This forced them to do a DNA test, the results of which he highly doubted. Zari revealed that Diamond confided in her, saying they carried out the first test, but there were possibilities that the results had been tampered with.
“At that time, Magufuli was president, and he ordered that all DNA tests would be changed and paternity given to the man who had requested them to reduce the rising number of single mothers. Diamond told me he did the second test and when I asked for the result, he never wanted to talk about it. But he later told me he would still take care of the child because it cost him nothing. As a grown up, I understood what he was saying and maybe that is what he meant when he said he is taking care of other men’s children,” she said.
