Renowned YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi has this evening been remanded to Luzira Prison until 30th December on cases of cyber harassment and hate speech.
According to the court, Shalom, in one of his YouTube videos published in August, issued claims that were deemed hateful and cyber harassing by Full Figure.
Full Figure was so quick to file cases against the YouTuber, and today he was arrested and detained at the Katwe Police Station in Kampala.
He was subsequently arraigned before the Makindye court, where he was accused of cases of cyber harassment and hate speech.
Shalom Kaweesi was remanded to Luzira Prison until the 30th of December to reappear before the court.

Amid the legal battles, Shalom’s support system, including Frank Ntambi, Kasuku, and his wife, among others, stormed the court to convey their support during the challenging situation.
