Singer Winnie Wa Mummy, alias Nakafero Winnie, ‘s last night’s performance was cut short over indecent dressing.
Winnie Wa Mummy was lined up among other musicians to perform at the annual New Year’s Eve festivities at Bulange in Mengo.
The event is annually attended by the kingdom’s dignitaries, including the Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi II, Queen Sylvia Naginda, princesses, and other cultural leaders.
To curb the surging actions of indecency and using the celebration to send political messages, the event organizers implemented stringent guidelines, with indecent artists denied the stage, and political symbols were restricted or prohibited.
Despite making it to the podium, Winnie was promptly tasked to step down after officials noticed that her attire breached the set guidelines.

In the same vein, singer Kababo was reportedly barred from performing, with the decision allegedly linked to performing politically influential songs.
