Winnie Nwagi Says She’s Ready to Go to Prison Over Her Dress Code

Date:

Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi has vowed to keep dressing as she pleases until she personally decides to stop.

Winnie Nwagi is one of the female artists who has not only been identified by their talent but also by her body, which she is not afraid to flaunt in skimpy clothes. Despite the criticism, the self-proclaimed fire baby revealed that she was ready to go to prison if it meant dressing the way she wanted.

Speaking to journalists, Nwagi, dressed in a short, revealing maroon outfit, expressed her free will, emphasizing that she only wore what made her most comfortable.

She noted that the hate comments and criticism were mainly from society, which she claimed was targeting her with the aim of bringing her down. She encouraged them to respect her choices, highlighting that she would personally stop when she got tired.

It is only society that is trying to bring some people down because of their dress code. Everyone has their own dress code, and we cannot all have the same. We shouldn’t try to come at others.

“I’m ready to go to prison for dressing the way I want. If they throw people in jail, they will have to put me there for dressing the way I want because I will continue doing it. No one forces me to do anything. I will only change according to how my life goes; If my body communicates that I’m now tired and done with skimpy clothes, you will see me out there in long clothes only. It will only be me,” Nwagi said.
