“We both began new journeys – together” – Lifestyle Uganda

Date:

Ugandan socialite and media personality Bad Black is marking her 36th birthday with more than cake and candles — she just welcomed her fifth child, a baby boy named Jaasiel.

The boy was born early Saturday morning, July 5, 2025, at 5:30 a.m., weighing 3.5 kilograms. The timing was significant. Bad Black, whose real name is Shanita Namuyimbwa, was also born on July 5 — at 2:00 a.m. in 1989.

“Today, I was born again,” she wrote in a long post on her social media.

“Not just because it’s my birthday, but because I’m bringing life into this world. AS I lie here in labor, every breath I take, every wave of pain – it all means one thing: my son is on his way.”

She continued, “We are about to share the same birthday. A bond written not just in blood, but in destiny. I can already feel his strength, his spirit, as if he chose this day to remind me that my life will never be the same again – it will be fuller, deeper, more.”

She called the birth her greatest birthday gift:

“This birthday, I don’t wish for anything because the greatest gift I could ever receive is on its way to me right now.”

“Happy birthday to me… and to the little warrior I’m about to meet. May we always remember that on this day, we both began new journeys – together.”

In a final update, she added, “Sharing the same date with my son, the 5th of July, because I prayed that God would answer.”

Bad Black confirmed that both she and baby Jaasiel are in good health. This is her fifth child and the first with her partner, Asha Panda.

Well-wishers and celebrities have flooded her comment section, celebrating the dual milestone.

Bad Black remains one of Uganda’s most talked-about public figures, known for her outspokenness, public controversies, and candid storytelling.
