Musician Geosteady is under fire following accusations that he plagiarized popular Kadongo Kamu singer Vincent Ssegawa’s song for his new jam.
Geosteady spent a good number of days posting exciting teasers of his new song, dubbed ‘Okunonya’, that got people talking. The song attracted attention from music lovers not only because it attacked his ex-wife, Prima, but also because it was allegedly plagiarized.
The issue was brought to light by Farouq Lukwago, the younger brother of former singer Vincent Ssegawa, now Luqman Ssegawa.
He shared the video sampling his brother’s song titled “Okunonya Sikudiba” and let the public know that Geosteady copied from the sound to the lyrics.
“What he did was not right, and if he is listening, I want him to stop on this song. It seems to be his habit to steal people’s property without asking for permission or consent. That song is still my brother’s property, and I know he would be the one saying this, but you all know he is very sick. I’m standing in for him to show our dissatisfaction,” he said.

Farouq revealed they were not looking for any compensation from Gesoteady at this point, but only wanted him to remove their song from his digital platforms and not perform it either.
