He pleaded not guilty before the Kabale Chief Magistrate, Mr Derrick Byamugisha, and was remanded until July 29 for further proceedings.
In a separate incident, Erias Nasasira, 25, of Kakirare village, is accused of stealing a pig worth Shs150,000 and injuring it on June 27. He also denied the charges and was similarly remanded until July 29.
