Kabale-Trust Twesigomwe, the Youth Chairperson for Rubaya sub-county and Vice Chairman of the NRM Youth League for Kabale District, has made a bold pledge to oppose any form of corruption and to ensure transparency, effective accountability, and the transformation of youth into a money economy after winning position of Youth Secretary for Finance Kabale District in yesterday’s 19th August 2025 elections a seat that he swept off unopposed Twesigomwe’s campaign focuses on several key principles mostly emphasizing the importance of transparency in all youth-related programs and initiatives by promoting open communication and clear information sharing, he aims to build trust within the district youth and ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Twesigomwe added that Effective accountability is another cornerstone of his platform believing that it is crucial to establish robust systems and processes that allow for the proper tracking of funds and resources saying that this will help to prevent misuse and ensure that every penny is accounted for, thereby fostering a culture of responsibility among youth leaders and members.

The transformation of youth into a money economy is perhaps the most ambitious aspect of Twesigomwe’s vision recognizing that many young people in Kabale District lack the necessary skills and opportunities to engage in profitable economic activities and to address this, Twesigomwe plans to introduce programs that will equip the youth with practical skills, provide access to financial resources, and create opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Kennedy Kiconco was declared a winner as Kabale District Youth Chairperson in the same elections.
