Musician Tracy Melon, real name Tracy Mirembe, has revealed that she is living an answered prayer after her music journey took shape.
Tracy Melon had her breakthrough song three years ago, but before then, she had released several songs that didn’t reach the limelight. She became a popular figure on TikTok, mainly for her covers of popular songs.
Kakana was the song that paved the way for her and earned her a spot amongst the top female artists in the industry, winning different accolades, something most artists have struggled to do for the longest time.
Speaking during an interview, Tracy Melon expressed her joy, noting that sitting in high places and getting all the recognition she got was a privilege. She explained that she was living in answer to her prayers because she was able to hit milestones and see the things she prayed for come to pass.
“It is a privilege, and for me, I’m living an answered prayer. I used to dream about everything I have achieved and every milestone I have hit. When I sit in a place and see most of the things I have prayed for come to pass, I am so happy,” she said.

Tracy Melon was the star at the recently concluded Zzina Awards, winning several awards, including Best Female Artist. Many, however, criticized her, claiming that she didn’t deserve the title. During her interview, she noted that she chose not to focus on negativity as she believed she earned a spot through hard work.
‘Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I do not know why you say all this. When someone works hard and is good, they are appreciated. If they are credited for the work they have put in, I don’t think you should start criticizing,” she said.
