T-Paul 256 opens up on scariest performance: locked in bride’s house, forced to sing in the rain

Date:

Western Uganda-based musician T-Paul 256, real name Taremwa Paul, has looked back at a scary moment when he arrived late for a performance at a function.

T-Paul, while speaking about the most embarrassing moments in his music career, reminisced about when he was booked to perform at a wedding/introduction ceremony, but due to unknown factors, he arrived at the venue a little late.

The bride had allegedly wanted him to perform as she stepped out before her guests, but he wasn’t able to make it on time. The bride became furious and, out of frustration, locked him inside her house for a while.

The family was among the influential people in the country, and in the heat of the moment, they pulled out guns in front of him, something that scared him.

T-Paul 256, however, remained calm and had to be forced to step on stage even when it was raining heavily outside.

“One day, I was booked to perform, but I arrived a little bit late. I think the bride had planned to have me sing for her while she was stepping out of the house.”

“She got so angry and locked me inside her house. They brought out all the guns because she was in a family of influential people. It got so bad but I stayed calm. It was raining outside but they called me to perform in the rain because they had to utilise the money they had paid for,” he said.
