KAMPALA — Property mogul Sudhir Ruparelia has unveiled the architectural designs for Phase 2 of the Kingdom Kampala development, anchored by a 21-story tower that will feature a rooftop helipad.
The new high-rise, situated in the Central Business District, is designed with glass facades and landscaped terraces. The inclusion of a state-of-the-art helipad is intended to serve executive travel and high-end visitors as the city continues to attract international investment.
The expansion follows the success of the first phase of Kingdom Kampala, which opened in 2019 and serves as a commercial hub for office spaces and retail.
According to the designs, Phase 2 will function as an integrated “vertical city.” The project includes a luxury hotel with approximately 200 rooms, penthouses, upscale apartments and additional corporate office spaces.
Real estate analysts say the project indicates strong confidence in the economic trajectory of the capital.

“This tower isn’t just another building — it’s a marker of Kampala’s ascent as a modern African metropolis,” a local real estate expert said. “Features like the helipad target high-value sectors, from energy investors to emerging tech players.”
The project is the latest in a series of transformative developments by the Ruparelia Group, which recently completed the Pearl Tower One.
The construction is expected to stimulate local supply chains and create jobs as Uganda maintains an annual economic growth rate of between 5% and 6%. Developers say the project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the city compared to other regional hubs like Nairobi.
