Musician Stecia Mayanja was earlier today unveiled as the president of the new political party, National Peasants’ Party (NPP).
Last month, Stecia Mayanja publicly revealed her plans to pursue active politics, revealing her ambitions through her social media platforms.
The veteran musician cemented her decision with a poster detailing her goal to stand as Kampala District Woman Member of Parliament.
Earlier today, Stecia Mayanja unveiled her newly formed political party, the National Peasants’ Party (NPP), and was officially sworn in as its president.

Stecia vowed to follow the party’s rules and regulations and pledged to fulfill its ambitions despite the challenges that might come her way.
