Stabua Natooro Explains Why She Warns Her Children Against a Music Career

Date:

Singer Stabua Natooro has opened up about her children’s future, saying she will not advise them to enter the music industry.

Despite being one of the most successful band musicians in the industry right now, Stabua acknowledged the challenges that can only be navigated by a natural-born talent.

Natooro revealed that among her children, she has noticed a trend of them following in her footsteps. She has, however, continued to discourage them, emphasizing that music is not a sustainable job.

“I do not know if anyone wants to follow my footsteps as a musician, but I keep telling them that music is not a job. I have some that really have nice voices, but I want them to do other things first. Music is not a job but a God-given talent. It is something you pick by chance; that is why a child doesn’t need to force it,” she said.

With her experience in the music industry, Stabua says she interacted with many artists who would have done better in other careers but are struggling with music. She advised them to keep pushing but also to get other side jobs to sustain themselves, as music may not earn enough.

“I kept telling artists who are hellbent on continuing to do music despite not getting anything from it to get side jobs. Stick to the music but also get something on the side,” she said.

Stabua noted that she doesn’t depend on music alone but owns Stana Fashions, Stana Medical Centre, and Stana Metal Works.
