Social media sensation and former Sheilah Gashumba’s friend, Gloria Njuba, has been admitted to Butabika Hospital over excessive substance abuse.
A few weeks ago, Gloria Njuba dominated the news headlines after a catfight with media personality Sheilah Gashumba.
Amid the chaos, Sheilah reportedly had Gloria Njuba jailed, where she spent several nights. She was, however, bailed out by Abryanz and Katrina Nilzero, who are also said to have bitterly fallen out with Sheilah Gashumba.
A few days later, Njuba went back on a partying spree, as seen in recent videos. In the clip, she was seen being dragged out of what appeared to be a nightclub by bouncers amid a fight. There were allegations that she had lost control of herself because of the heavy drinking and substance abuse.
Following the incident, Njuba, with the help of his friend Thomas Todd, was dragged to Butabika Hospital as she was leaving Kurax Food Lounge. She is currently admitted for three months at ADU, a dedicated treatment and rehabilitation center offering comprehensive care for individuals experiencing alcohol or substance use disorders and other addictive disorders.
According to Todd, they had first admitted her into a mental institute in Namugongo, but they kicked her out after she started fighting the inmates she found there.

“The mother refused to sign the documents and left us there, saying we wanted to kidnap her child. They sedated her, but the next day, when she woke up, she started fighting people there. They took her to the police, but they released her. She is so depressed, she has a lot of stress, but as a person, she has bad manners. I’m her friend, but I have to say it. Right now, she’s not well,” he said.
