Sheilah Gashumba Warns Youths Against Turning to Substances as an Escape From Hard Life Realities

Date:

Socialite Sheilah Gashumba has warned youths against turning to substance abuse as an escape from hard life realities.

Taking to her Snapchat handle, Sheilah urged Ugandan youths to stop playing the sympathy card and face real-life realities.

She noted that life is tough and that one has to be strong to handle whatever it throws at them on their own, saying people are not always ready to help.

Sheilah advised young people to develop a tough skin and be ready for whatever life throws at them, criticizing the mentality of always expecting life to be in their favour, stressing that not every day is Christmas.

The renowned events host advised the youths against using life situations to resort to intoxicating substances that their bodies can’t handle.

Furthermore, Sheilah urged people to train their minds to be mentally strong, to see the bigger picture of their lives, and to live for tomorrow, next year, and the decade ahead.

Sheilah Gashumba reveals. The whole sympathy card that is always played in Uganda will stop most of you from facing real life reality. Its a hard life out here, you have to be strong to handle whatever life throws at u by urself. People wont be out here to help all the time.
Toughen up and you have to be ready for whatever life throws at you.
Everytime you fall, u have to be able to get urself up.
This mentally needs to be spoken more about in the young ugandans. I always not everyday is chrismas, sometimes its hell. Dont give up on urself. Dont use ur life situation to resort
To substances that ur body cant handle. Thats not a solution. People need to learn to train their minds to be mentally strong, look at the bigger picture of ur life.
Dont live for today but learn how to live for tomorrow or the next year and decade.

Sheilah’s advice comes a few days after her former best friend, Gloria Njuba, was thrown out of one of the Kampala bars, while reportedly under the influence of intoxicating substances.
