Musician Sheebah Karungi has distanced herself from political interactions, emphasizing that it is not a subject she wants to participate in.
Sheebah is one of the few artists who have not been vocal about politics and has shown no interest in matters concerning politics. While speaking to journalists, she was tasked with giving her view on the increasing number of artists running for political office.
The self-styled Karma Queen expressed his utmost respect for them, noting that they were free to do as they will for as long as it was working out well for them.
“I think I have seen artists who have shown their political sides, and I think it is going well for them,” she said.
Sheebah Karungi has made a name for herself as a humanitarian activist who is mainly concerned with matters affecting the girl child.
With this background, many would expect her to consider leading at one point, but she strongly turned it down, claiming it is not a direction she is willing to take.

“This is the thing, and I will say this again: I’m not a politician. I’m a humanitarian, a feminist, and I love to do the right thing. Politics is not a game that I understand so much, and I prefer not to speak on things I do not understand so much,” she said.
