Shanks Vivie’D allegedly admitted to rehab over substance abuse

Legendary musician Shanks Vivie’D is allegedly committed to a private rehabilitation centre due to excessive drug addiction.

YouTuber Kasuku broke the news about Shanks Shanks Vivie’D’s commitment on his YouTube channel. According to Kasuku, a contact that he kept anonymous sent him a WhatsApp message saying that she had gone to visit a relative in a yet-to-be-identified rehabilitation centre. During her time there, she spotted Shanks Vivie D, who she said was in a worrying state.

The source claimed that Vivie D had visibly lost his mind due to alleged substance abuse.

Shanks Vivie’D was among the legendary artists who introduced music lovers to a unique genre called urban Pop at a time when Lingala and South African music took over the industry.

He inspired a number of artists like Jose Chameleone, who have admitted that they owe him their careers. In an exclusive interview, Shanks admitted to having had a drug addiction problem when he started using weed.

He revealed that he was in and out of rehabilitation centres, an act that caused a rift between him and his family. He confessed that he was finally clean and free from the habit, but the fresh revelation comes as sad news to his fans and the industry as a whole.
