Shamim Malende’s Husband, Shamil Ssebunya Reportedly Abducted

Kampala Woman Member of Parliament and NUP’s lawyer Shamim Malende’s husband Ssebunya Andrew Shamil has reportedly been abducted by unknown individuals.

According to post on Shamim Malende’s official Facebook page, Ssebunya was taken by a drone to an undisclosed location. The incident occurred early this morning in the Kawempe Mbogo area.

The post from the page admin stated: “Received information that Ssebunya Andrew Shamil, spouse of Hon. Shamim Malende, was picked up by a drone this morning around the Kawempe Mbogo area and taken to an unknown destination.”

As of now, the police have not released any official statement regarding the alleged abduction.

This incident comes just days after Kyaguanyi, a prominent political figure, revealed that several members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) had also been abducted by men in plain clothes.
