Kampala Woman MP, Shamim Malende, has reaffirmed her commitment to continue serving the people of Kampala after 2026.
Malende who has been ill told supporters after donating Shs 10 million to NUP that she was still strong.
“I want to assure our supporters that I am back and still strong to go ahead with the fight against human rights abuse where many of our footsoldiers are still in prison without no crime committed but rather to support NUP. We shall continue demanding for their release through courts of law,” said Malende at the NUP headquarters in Kavule.
Dressed in a red gomesi and a Muslim headscarf, Malende arrived at the headquarters in a dramatic entrance, sparking excitement among supporters concerned about her recent absence due to medical reasons. Despite appearing strong, she used crutches and was assisted by supporters.
