Singer Douglas Mayanja, better known by his stage name Weasel Manizo, is currently undergoing treatment at Nsambya Hospital after sustaining a broken leg in the early hours of the morning.
According to reports from entertainment analyst Kasuku, the incident occurred at Shan’s Bar & Restaurant in Munyonyo, where Weasel was allegedly hit by a car driven by his partner, Sandra Teta.
The impact reportedly caused serious injuries to his right leg, particularly from the knee down.
Sources claim the incident followed a heated argument between the couple, culminating in Sandra allegedly hitting him with her vehicle. She is now in police custody at Kabalagala Police Station. Medical professionals have indicated that Weasel may need to rely on crutches for up to six months as he recovers.

The couple’s relationship has long been troubled and marred by allegations of domestic violence.
In 2022, Sandra was seen with visible facial injuries, including swelling and bruises, sparking concerns about abuse. At the time, it was rumored that Weasel was responsible an allegation supported by his sister-in-law, Daniella Atim.
Daniella, the estranged wife of Weasel’s brother, Jose Chameleone, publicly stated that Sandra had suffered repeated abuse. After one particular incident, Sandra reportedly fled to her parents’ home in Rwanda. However, after Weasel traveled to bring her back, the couple changed the narrative, attributing her injuries to a robbery.

This is not the first time the Mayanja family has been struck by serious injury. In 2009, Weasel’s older brother, Dr. Jose Chameleone, broke both of his legs after reportedly falling from a building in Tanzania.
