Singer Rickman Manrick is grateful after narrowly surviving death following his car gutting fire enroute to Kampala after a successful show.
On Sunday, 08 March 2026, Rickman, born Ddungu Derick, and members of his music camp experienced a harrowing moment after his show in Fort Portal.
According to reports, the fire gutted the car, prompting the driver to park to handle the situation. Despite their efforts to extinguish the fire, they were unsuccessful, and the fire continued to burn, reducing the car to ashes.
Fortunately, there were no registered casualties. Despite grappling with trauma from the unforeseen accident, he chose to travel to Kampala by alternative means.
The singer credited God for his narrow escape, sending a message to his enemies that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.
