Musician Rickman Manrick has opened up on allegations that he was behind the split between former best friends Sheilah Gashumba and Katrina Nilzero.
While speaking in a YouTube interview with Florah Show about the craziest rumor he’s ever heard about himself, Rickman recalled the viral allegations that he had sexual relations with Katrina while still dating Sheilah. The rumors suggested that this was the reason why the pair parted ways.
In the interview, Rickman narrated that the first time he crossed paths with Katrina, he was with Sheila. He was headed somewhere, and Katrina offered him her car to use even when she wasn’t well-acquainted with her. This, to him, was a sign that she was a good person and a good friend.
‘I had heard so many rumors about myself, but the one I chose as the craziest was when they said I slept with Katrina Nilzero. We don’t talk too much, but when we meet, we do talk. She is a very nice person who minds her business,’ he said. ‘For the girl drama, I do not know much about that, but to me, she has no problem. In Kampala, for someone to trust you with their car, it shows the kind of person she is,’ he added.
Sheilah and Katrina were the celebrity friends most people looked up to. The pair usually brunched together and spent quality time in each other’s space until when they gradually fell off the social scene. Rumour started spreading that Rickman had disorganized their bond.
He confessed that he felt terrible when he learned about the accusations but denied speaking about the real reason behind their split. He, however, continued to speak highly of Katrina, whom he described as a good friend who remained loyal to his ex.
I’m not familiar with the drama between girls, but I would regard Katrina as a nice friend. All this time, she has never come to me to tell me about her (Sheilah) secrets. She is my friend as well, and she could easily have told me, but she didn’t. That means she is more of a friend to Sheilah. I have never heard anything like that, and I respect her for it. She is a true friend to someone, he said.

Even when he didn’t confirm whether the rumour was the reason behind his broken relationship with Sheilah, he hinted that it had caused some friction between them as their mutual friend orchestrated it.
