Hip-Hop Musician Recho Rey has opened up on the struggles in the music industry and how it has become difficult for artists to stay relevant and consistent.
Recho Rey released a song a few days ago after many months of silence. While speaking to Galaxy TV viewers, the hip-hop star explained that she was having difficulty staying consistent on the charts, mainly because the music industry is highly demanding.
Since they need funds to invest in music, they sometimes hold back on releasing new material when the money doesn’t come through as planned.
“Consistency in the music industry is not the easiest thing because this is a business we also invest in. It requires a lot of income. Sometimes things can refuse to work out, but we try to give our fans the best that we can,” she said.
Despite the break, Recho Rey has managed to stay relevant as one of the few surviving female hip hop artists whose music stands out.
When asked how she has been able to maintain her position, she explained that she has tried to stay versatile and not limit herself to a single music category.

“As an artist, do not limit yourself. Try to be versatile and able to perform across all music genres. I also look at the market because it has its own demands. As an artist, you might want your own thing, different from what the market wants. You release music based on what you see happening in the environment.
