Producer-Turned-Musician Zulitums Explains Exit from Commercial Production

Date:

Musician, producer, and songwriter Zulitums, real name Sam Ssemwogerere, has revealed that he stopped producing music on a commercial level to focus on his brand.

Speaking in a recent interview, Zulitums revealed that since taking on his career as a musician, he has stopped producing music for fellow artists and is solely focused on growing his brand.

He, however, doesn’t rule out production completely, as he has helped several producers as a consultant.

I still produce music, but over the past few years, I have mostly made my own songs. I always say, for me, right now I’m pushing Zulitums the artist.

So, whenever stories of producing for other people come in, they kinda tag me to theirs, but I don’t want to be like that, and I’m serious about it. If I come as an artist, that is what I want to serve. I did production for other people a long time ago, and I switched.

When approached, he says he can pitch in, and if he loves the vibe and has always wanted to work with that person, he would go ahead with the production.

I have always been like that; I have not just started now. I have always given advice to big and small producers, and if they are kind enough, they can come out and give me my flowers.

Zulitums was initially known as a producer working with several top artists. He later switched careers, coming out as a full-time musician during lockdown with his debut single ‘Tabu’ and the album ‘Inviticus’ that same year.

Since then, he has garnered a loyal fan base that has shown him massive support for every song he releases, particularly for his lyrical content and vocal abilities.
