President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has earlier today declined renowned media personality Isaac Daniel Katende alias Kasuku’s Luseke’s request.
Today, Kasuku was part of the Jazz With Jajja session, where several youths converged at the State House to have a conversation with the fountain of honour.
During the meeting, the president addressed the youths’ grievances, including the blocked Facebook in the country, and exorbitant internet prices.
The meeting was marked by several moments, but what caught attendees’ attention was Kasuku’s request to Luseke.
Luseke is a Luganda phrase loosely translated as “begging for handouts.” The media personality explained that following the meeting with the President, there is an unspoken expectation from his supporters that he would return with something tangible from their jaja.

However, President Museveni declined the request, saying that, as a presidential candidate, handing out handouts during political campaigns would be considered a bribe.
He promised to fulfill the media personality’s promise after the much-anticipated general elections, expected to take place on 15th January 2026.
