Singer Pia Pounds, real name s Tracy Kirabo, has spoken out on how Chosen Becky ghosted her ahead of their music collaboration.
Earlier this month, Pia Pounds released ‘Size Yange’, an afro-zouk love song that is projected to be maximised at weddings and introduction ceremonies. Since Chosen Becky has been known to specialize in this field, Pia Pounds thought her verse would complement the song and also tap into her fanbase.
However, to her surprise, Chosen Becky didn’t show up to record her verse for the song, despite having listened to the demo and loved it. Pia Pounds revealed that she didn’t reach out to apologize or explain what prevented her from fulfilling her end of the bargain.
“I was meant to do that song with Chosen Beck. We went to the studio with Dokta Brain and Kusseim, and we put down something. It was a collaboration, and I sang verse one, and I waited for her to add her vocals. But, like you know, Chosen Becky being a star, she never showed up. Everyone who heard it would tell me that it was a nice song. She didn’t reach out,” she said.
Despite the song being out, Pia Pounds revealed she would still be okay with Chosen putting her verse on the song as a remix, because she believes it is a masterpiece and would do it justice.

This is not the first time Pia Pounds has been ghosted by a big star for a collaboration. Last year, she said she was meant to collaborate with Diamond Platnumz. They met, went to the studio, and she recorded her part, but the Bongo Flava star ghosted her shortly after, saying it was a common trait of prominent artists.
“It is a thing bigger artists do; they never have time. Sometimes we might think they have ghosted us, but in an actual sense, they do not have time, and they are busy pushing their agenda for that year. On your side, since this person is bigger than you, you become desperate to work with them,” she said.
