Pastor Wilson Bugembe Urges Single Pastors to Wed Early, Says Serving Alone Is Not Easy

Date:

Pastor Wilson Bugembe has advised fellow pastors to get married as soon as they can, claiming it is not an easy journey to serve as a single man.

During his interview with Power FM, the Worship House International lead pastor revealed that he chose ministry over a lifelong commitment. Bugembe noted that he put all his focus on rebuilding his church, which he says was in a bad state, leaving him with little time for family.

“God chooses the path. By now I would be married with kids but he gave me the responsibility of the church which had been planted in a poor neighbourhood. Lots of young people needed to come out of the pit.

By then, I wouldn’t think about marriage because I had so much on me. I had a responsibility and I had to choose whether to go for marriage or wait a little bit,” he said.

Years back, Pr. Bugembe opened up about the book he wrote titled ‘Finding Her’ detailing his struggles of finding the right woman to marry, but he never got the chance to release it.

He revealed that he would unveil it to the public on his wedding day, giving people a glimpse into the life he had been through and the reasons behind his long wait. He further advised fellow pastors not to emulate him and get married as soon as possible.

“I always advise pastors not to do what I did. It is not good for a man to live alone, trust me. Every scripture is true. If you are a single pastor, don’t be like me. It is not good to take this long without getting married. However, God makes everything beautiful in its own time,” he said.
